OTB Run Club – Wirral’s Only Dedicated Run/Walk (Jeffing) Club

Ready to run in a way that actually feels doable, supportive, and sustainable?
OTB Run Club is a friendly, inclusive running group based in Greasby, built around structured run/walk intervals (often known as “Jeffing”)  helping you build fitness, confidence, and consistency without the pressure of traditional running clubs.
This isn’t about keeping up.
It’s about finding your pace, your rhythm, and your way of running.
When & Where

Mondays & Fridays – 6:30pm
Meet at the rear car park of The Gravesberie Inn, Greasby, CH49 2PP

Sessions typically last 45 – 60 minutes

Cost

  • First session: FREE

  • £4 per session

  • £6 per week (both sessions)

  • £20 per month (unlimited)

How It Works

We use structured run/walk intervals to build fitness gradually and safely.

  • Short, manageable run intervals

  • Regular walk recoveries

  • No one gets left behind

This style of training is proven to help build endurance while reducing injury risk and making running feel far more achievable, especially for beginners or returners

What to Expect

  • Warm-up + coached session + cool-down

  • Structured intervals (typically 30–90 seconds running)

  • Typical distance 4 - 7km

  • Support, encouragement, and zero judgment

  • Complete beginners

  • People returning after injury or time off

  • Runners who hate running alone

  • Anyone who’s tried running before and thought “this just isn’t for me”

What You’ll Need

  • Comfortable trainers

  • Something high-vis  in winter/dark evenings

  • Head torch or running light in winter/dark evenings

  • Optional: Small water bottle
